Finding Your Strength

The Soul of Leadership, Deepak Chopra

Have you ever noticed how similar we all are?  We all are great communicators, presenters, teachers, and healers.  Right?  Wait a second we are all similar but we are all very different also.  This doesn't make one person better than another.  We are all equal in regards to the human race.  We all have strengths and weaknesses.  Not one person has it all and this should be celebrated.  Our differences are what make us unique and able to add our personal touch to this world.  Be empowered by this and empower others!
Notice others strengths, as a leader, and emphasis those qualities in them such as if they loyal, responsible, task-oriented, a fixer, or persuasive.  All of these strengths are important and you can empower that in others by letting them know their strengths.  In The Soul of Leadership, Chopra says, "When you understand that everyone is the expression of a soul, you as a leader find joy in helping each individual uncover that truth."
My first job as an engineer my boss recognized that I have great people skills.  I was able to gain the trust of my co-workers quickly and be genuine.  He particularly liked this strength of mine because there was a lack of team work in the group.  My addition helped to strengthen bonds between the group.  Isn't that cool!  How does it get any better than that?
